Now let me quote a portion of the overall results:

"Results indicate that subjects do agree with descriptions of their

personalities generated by astrologers from birth chart information

alone. More importantly, they can select their own personality

description from among several; when offered a choice from several

(i.e., three) personality descriptions, they will select their own and reject

others much more frequently than chance alone would indicate.

In line with previous research which has indicated a tendency for subjects

to affirm even vague personality characteristics, subjects in this study did

agree more often than they disagreed with specific personality descriptions;

however, very importantly, they also rejected a significant portion of

personality characteristics describing other people."

When Marbell launched this enterprise, I was rather concerned. He

wanted to do it with pre-approval from dedicated anti-astrology forces

who could only hope to ballyhoo anything but outstanding results in

astrology's favor. That's what Marbell got, outstanding results in astrology's

favor with pre approved by the enemy of his methodology -- they even

designed the experiment.

What he couldn't get was column space in Science, Scientific American or

any other mainstream publication.
