The only time my ex stayed home was during the 6 years when we were in Shanghai. He had worked before then and has been able to find jobs after moving back to the States. Since his job doesn't require traveling, he can help dropping & picking up the kids while I'm away. He was a lousy husband but has been an ok dad.
I really haven't been a senior executive. Although some of my responsibilities may have been similar. I take it as good learning & training opportunity. I wish I'll be able to set some good examples for you...*fingers crossed*.

Are you a senior product/marketing manager/director or something? Is your ex non-Chinese/Taiwanese? Still, I find it hard to take care of my daughter everyday after work. If your ex only helps you when you're out of town, then you'd still be exhausted on those other days.
