Hi,
Thanks for the great input, shihuk. Basically, I use a few factors in determining the compatibility. I am still learning and doing studies to see its credibility.
1.Spouse pillar compatibiity -Utilizie the same method as what shihuk said
2.Day master compatibility
3.Interplay of Elements in each other pillars
House of spouse compatibility - This uses the element of Person A of spouse pillar compare with Person B spouse pillar. A combination is generally good (because it is agreeable) while a clash or peralty(confrontationational) is deemed not so auspicious. The exception of the rule of the clash is that if the clash is by a nobleman than I think is still auspicious.
2.Day master(Day heavenly stem) compatibity - Ifthe day master of Person A combined or no clash with Person B, this is generally rated as amiable. However, a clash between the Day masters may signal the people have very different viewpoints.
Utilizing both steps 1 and steps 2 together to see and judge the relationship potential is good enough. And like what Shihuk example, if all fits the bill with no clashes on the day master and pillar then it is called a direct match.
3.Interplay of Elements in each other pillars
What happens if Person A and Person B is not direct match, is the relationship doomed. Not at all. That is what the indirect match comes about. Let say Person A needs Fire element and has a lot of water element and Person B needs Water and has a lot of Fire. Mutually each needs each other elements. Both have what the other partner needs. So this relationship is complimentary.
Another example in the same genre. Let say Man A is Water day person with little Fire, Fire to him represent his spouse element and a Fire Element Lady may be his match. To her, Water represent the Husband element.
Again, this interplay of elements should be as balanced as possible to ensure flow of the elements in each 4 pillars (the creation cycle).
Also, all the 3 pointers does not gaurantee a 100% PERFECT relatioship. Sadly, there isn't. It also depends to a certain
degree of both parties 10 yr luck cycle. When all is said and done, I guess both parties will still have to work hard in maintaining the relationship, communication and understanding too of each other.
