2016 US presidential election


Henry Coley (note1) introduced us two different methods of the Sun's ingress.

One was the doctrine of Ptolemy . That is erecting for every year ,figures for the Sun's ingress into the four cardinal points, Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricornus as also the conjunction or opposition of the Sun and Moon preceding and succeeding the sun's ingress into the same signs.

Henry Coley thought it was most rational .

Another was flowed by Haly and Guido Bonatti. The methods is If at the Sun's ingress into Aires, the ascendant shall be a fixed sign, then that figure shall serve for the judgement of the whole year, but if the ascendant be a common sign, the revolution figure shall continue but half a year and end at the Sun's entrance into Libra, for which moment another scheme shall be erected for the other half year, but if the ascendant be a moveable sign at the Sun's ingress into Aires, then that revolution figure shall be of force but till the Sun enters Cancer, and new schemes are to be erected for the otter three quarters of the year.

William Lilly followed this methods in his almanacs.

The United States presidential election of 2016, scheduled for Tuesday, November 8, 2016, and the ascendent of the Sun's Aries ingress is in sagittarius, a common sign , no matter which methods you accept ,the figure of the Sun's ingress into Libra is our main reference for this presidential election.



Find the lord of the year.

I'm following Henry's method which is learnt from Ptolemy. Examine which planet has the most dignities in the ascendant ,mid-heaven, and the signs of the Luminaries in each of the three aforesaid figures.

Here, we get Mars and Mercury and because Mars rules the ascendant in the Sun's Libra ingress, so he is the first lord of year, and Mercury is the second one.

According to Lilly's planetary dignities sheet, Mar gets 13 points and Mercury gets 19 points. Mercury is strong than Mars in slight difference and both of they are relatively strong.

And According to Henry,

Mars generally signifies all martial and military affairs , wars, contention, firing of houses, bombing, murders, theft,robber, pirate etc.

If he is the lord of the year ,and powerful and free from affliction. It portend much felicity and prosperity to all martial persons in General, soldiers will now be very successful, and perform many notable exploits and overcome their enemies and gain good esteem and honor thereby.

Mercury signifies all manner of study and science, also merchants ,treasurers, office secretaries, clerks, and scribes in general, philosophers, astronomers or astrologers, mathematicians , writers. It also signifies the discovery of all secret devices, and shows the investigation or discovery of all ingenious .

If he is the lord of the year and strong and free from affliction, it denotes much profit and good success to all persons addicted to learning and science, as mathematicians ,philosophers, poets, also to merchants and tradesmen etc. Men should be much addicted to the searching after new and curious inventions this year, and be prosperous therein .

The most significant contention in the next half year (note2) is the United States presidential election.

We have two main nominees, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

Hillary (note 3)served as the 67th United Sates Secretary of State from 2009 to 2013 which is a senior official of the federal government of the United States of America heading the U.S. Department of State, principally concerned with foreign policy and is considered to be the U.S. government's equivalent of a Minister for Foreign Affairs.(note 3) Since 2000, US foreign policy has been paying much attention to the fight against terrorism which is symbolized by Mars.

She is born October 26, 1947 under the Scorpio , which is ruled by Mars as well as the ascendent and dispositing the ruler of the ascendent in her nomination chart.

Obviously ,Hillary is represented by Mars

Donald (note 4) is an an American businessman, television personality, author, and mercury is the dispositor of the Sun in his natal chart, and the dispositor of the ruler of the ascendent in his nomination chart.

Mars is in conjunction with Saturn in the second house recently , signifying financial difficulties in America, Low income, high prices ,high jobless rate, economic depression. Some helps come from the overseas but are far from enough.

In this situation ,most of americans will be care about their victuals ,food and safe living condition and that is the first consideration of the incumbent political party. And they are eager an fresh air and a new face in the political society.

That is supported by the Sun in conjunction with Jupiter which is the ruler of the 2nd house , and Mercury is near the cusp of the 11th house and Mercury disposites the Moon and she disposites the part of fortune.

Mercury is exalted than Mars, he will win her and a little difference of their dignifies means the gape of the number of their votes isn't big.

The latest penumbral lunar eclipse in Pisces conjunct to the moon in Hillary's natal chart isn't a good testimony for her. This eclipse isn't visible in US. Something may happen secretly or in hidden parts. Pisces signifies phlegmatic, cold diseases, and those in the feet. The moon in Pisces also signifies thighs and feet part of the body.
