許麗玲，一九六○年生於雲林，大學時在台大醫院擔任志工輔導自閉症兒，畢業後一句法文也不會的她，就應一位法國自閉症兒家長的請託，隨他回到法國擔任家庭教師。之後，她在法國自閉症青少年教育中心工作四年，並在推薦下進入法國高等研究實踐學院，攻讀宗教人類學碩士、宗教學博士。
以巫術信仰與道教治療儀式為研究領域的她，興趣跨及心理學、文化人類學與神祕主義，曾任教於多所大學院校，並以自身生命投入神祕經驗，曾出版《巫路之歌》一書，現專事內在心靈的探索與寫作，成為大隱於世的現代女巫。
