Hi, don't want to embarrass you but I am afraid that is not true; I live and work in Shanghai too, and i do not see any difference of English use between people in Taiwan and in China. I think your perception is awkward.

I strongly suggest that you sharpen up your English before you start speaking or typing it, that way, you will be embarrassed less.
